Seven Chakra Gardens
Seven Chakra Gardens
The Seven Chakra Gardens are the beating heart of Willka T’ika — a sanctuary for introspection, healing, and transformation. These secret pastoral spaces were lovingly designed to reflect, resonate, and align with the classic seven chakras of the body. Each garden is planted with colors, symbols, sculptures, and medicinal flowers chosen to evoke its corresponding energy center. Honoring and communing with Pachamama, the gardens weave land and body into a sensory, singular experience. The soothing hum of bees and the song of native hummingbirds create a natural symphony as you wander along the gardens’ path. Warm sun filters over the Andes, gently caressing your skin. The fragrant aromas—the minty muña, the energizing eucalyptus, the sweetness of heirloom roses, the peppery spice of molle berries—permeate your senses like an offering from Mother Earth herself, transporting you into a heightened state of presence.
Often described as heavenly or Edenic, each garden invites a distinct relationship and grounds you fully in the present moment. This sense of peace and connection will stay with you long after your journey home.
Art Workshop
Art Workshop
Join highly acclaimed Willka T’ika resident Quechua artist Mario for a workshop designed to awaken your muse. Mario’s artwork, rooted in Andean traditions, graces collections throughout the world as well as the walls of Willka T’ika.
Studies show that creative expression reduces stress hormones, increases neuroplasticity, and strengthens emotional resilience—making it an essential pillar of holistic wellness. In the Andean tradition, creativity is a conversation with Pachamama; through expression, we open channels of energy that restore balance to the body, mind, and heart.
After an introduction to his creative process, Mario will guide you through the principles of the authentic Andean style. Inspired by these traditional artistic methods, the physical beauty of the gardens, and the invitation for spiritual and emotional opening, you will create a unique piece of Andean artwork—a keepsake of your transformational journey.
Breathwork
Breathwork
Awaken the life-force within through guided breathwork inspired by both ancient traditions and modern somatic science. Andean tradition views the breath—samay—as the sacred bridge between body, spirit, and Pachamama herself.
Breathwork is one of the most effective modalities for restoring balance to the nervous system and deepening emotional resilience. Studies show that conscious breathing lowers cortisol, increases heart-rate variability, and enhances oxygen utilization.
Surrounded by the Sacred Valley’s crystalline air and powerful mountain energies, intentional breathing becomes a transformative practice that supports emotional release, nervous-system restoration, and energetic alignment. The fragrant species of the Seven Chakra Gardens—muña, eucalyptus, ruda, rosemary, lavender, and molle blossoms—refresh the lungs and awaken the senses. With each intentional inhale, you draw in sami (light, refined energy); with each exhale, you dissolve hucha (heavy energy) into the earth. Andean wisdom teaches that Pachamama transforms this heavy energy into light, supporting you to release what no longer serves, imbuing you with renewed clarity and optimism.

In this workshop, you’ll explore the iron-rich ochre and terracotta clays that have been used for millennia by Inkan and pre-Inkan cultures to create ceremonial vessels, sculptures, and symbolic pottery.
You will learn about renowned ceramic artist Pablo Seminario, whose globally recognized work draws from Peru’s Wari, ChavÃn, and Moche traditions. Inspired by traditional Andean motifs of cosmology, zoomorphic figures, and sacred geometric shapes, you’ll practice foundational techniques including hand-building, carving, and the use of natural mineral pigments.

Seven Chakra Gardens
Seven Chakra Gardens
The world-renowned Seven Chakra Gardens winds through the grounds of Willka T’ika. The gardens contain symbols, shapes, sculptures, and medicinal plants which resonate with one of the seven major energy centers of the body. Each garden offers a uniquely charged sacred space for group or personal work. Voted as one of the top experiences during a stay at Willka T’ika, guests enjoy the gardens’ rejuvenating energies and exploring the healing connection with Pachamama, Mother Nature.
One of the garden’s most ancient residents is the 1,000+ year-old Lucuma tree which transmits its tremendous healing earth energy from a pre-Inkan era. The tree grounds and inspire guests in need of integrating their body, mind, and spirit. Some believe Willka T’ika’s Lucuma tree is one of approximately 365 shrines located along the Inkan Empire seques or arrow straight lines. These forty or so lines emanate from Cusco’s Korikancha Temple and run for hundreds of miles toward celestial points on the horizon.
Guests can align with the powerful Sacred Valley energies in the Spiral Garden of the third eye Chakra Garden. Walking the Spiral invites the release of unwanted energies and a shift toward expanding consciousness. Opening the third eye chakra to intuition and higher reflection can open the personal path to greater awareness and wellness.
In the crown chakra garden, the thousand-year-old Lucuma Tree connects guests to the energy and wisdom of the ancient Incan civilization. The grassy area beneath the Lucuma Tree is a perfect place for meditation. Winding paths lead from one garden to the other, reminding us to slow down and enjoy the journey.
The gardens heal and balance by encouraging a direct connection to the wisdom of Nature. Walk, meditate, write, paint, or simply relax in the chakra garden of your choice.
Willka T’ika’s Seven Chakra Gardens were a labor of love, which you can read more about in our founder Carol Cumes’ book Chakra Gardens: Opening the Senses of the Soul.
