Willka T’ika is the magical, special place that it is not because of its location (which is spectacular) but because of the people that make it work. Carol and Terry of course, Vidya and Theo, but also and perhaps especially, that wonderful family that ‘adopted’ Carol twenty years ago and have remained loyal. They are so cool. . . . Last night I was browsing my photos and reminiscing, and ran across aphoto from last August, me and my friend, the ancient Lucuma. That tree has its roots in my heart, and it will always be a beacon for me.
