In the serene embrace of Peru’s Sacred Valley, Willka T’ika had the profound honor of hosting the “Wisdom of the Leaf” Coca Summit from February 3rd to 7th 2025. This transformative gathering, orchestrated in collaboration with the esteemed McKenna Academy of Natural Philosophy and renowned anthropologist Dr. Wade Davis, delved deep into the multifaceted significance of the coca plant—a symbol of cultural heritage, medicinal potential, and environmental sustainability.
Crossing Borders: Driving through Bolivia
Our road trip from Peru to Argentina included an epic overland adventure driving though Bolivia to the salt flats of Uyuni followed by some hiking in the Chilean high desert of San Pedro de Atacama. From there, we would meander down the famous 40, or “Carretera Austral” following the Andes South until arriving at Mendoza, a world class culinary and viniculture destination.
